Post-Remediation Clearance Testing

Independent verification that mold remediation was completed successfully. Visual, moisture, and air quality confirmation.

Post-Remediation Clearance Testing

Post-Remediation Clearance Testing

After mold remediation, you need independent verification that the work was done correctly. Clearance testing by an independent inspector — not the remediation company — is the only way to confirm the problem has been fully resolved.

Why Independent Clearance Matters

Independent third-party clearance testing provides objective verification that remediation work was completed effectively. As a test-only company, Tanjun provides unbiased clearance results — giving you confidence that the work meets proper standards.

What Clearance Testing Typically Includes

Visual Verification We inspect the remediated area to confirm that visible mold has been removed, damaged materials have been properly disposed of, and containment barriers were effective.

Moisture Verification Using professional moisture meters, we verify that moisture levels in the remediated area have returned to acceptable levels. Elevated moisture after remediation may mean the underlying water source was not addressed — and mold could return.

Air Quality Sampling We may collect air samples from the remediated area and compare them to outdoor baseline levels. Post-remediation spore counts should be at or below outdoor levels, confirming that the air is clean.

Clearance Report You receive a detailed clearance report documenting all findings — visual, moisture, and lab results. This report can be provided to insurance companies, landlords, property managers, or real estate attorneys as proof of successful remediation.

Pricing

Post-remediation clearance testing starts at $550 for 1 containment area, including 2 air samples (1 inside containment + 1 outdoor control), moisture measurements, and the full clearance report.

When to Schedule Clearance

Schedule clearance testing after the remediation company has completed all work and removed containment barriers, but before reconstruction begins. The area must be clean, dry, and accessible for inspection and sampling.

Frequently Asked Questions About Post-Remediation Clearance Testing

Common questions about our post-remediation clearance testing services.

Depending on customer requests and the property condition, a Tanjun mold inspection may include a visual assessment of areas of concern (and broader areas as applicable), professional moisture and humidity measurements, and thermal imaging when conditions warrant. We document our findings and provide a detailed written report. If sampling is needed, we may collect air or surface samples and send them to our AIHA-accredited lab partner for analysis. The process typically takes 1-2.5 hours depending on the scope and size of the property.

Home mold inspections start at $350 for homes up to 1,500 square feet. This includes moisture readings, humidity measurements, and a detailed findings report with remediation protocol if applicable. Air and surface lab samples are $95 per sample. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing starts at $440 (includes 2 air samples). Post-remediation clearance testing starts at $550. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
