The name Tanjun comes from the Japanese characters 単 (tan, meaning "single") and 純 (jun, meaning "pure"). Together they convey the state of being simple or pure, without any other elements mixed in or any complicated functions, structures, or forms.
Before entering the mold inspection industry, Charles spent years in information technology — specializing in technical writing, data analysis, server and network engineering, and disaster recovery planning. That analytical background shapes how Tanjun approaches its work: methodical, thorough, and data-driven.

Analyzing customer concerns together with the property history, environmental measurements and lab results takes time — including moisture content, relative humidity, spore counts per cubic meter, detected mold species, water damage history, and moisture root cause analysis.
Depending on customer requests and the property condition, our inspections may include professional-grade moisture and humidity measurements, visual assessment, and a detailed findings report. Air and surface samples, when warranted, are analyzed by Eurofins Built Environment Testing, an AIHA-accredited laboratory, with results typically available within 24-48 hours.
